Indian waterfall deaths captured on camera
AN AMATEUR cameraman captured five members of a family being swept away by flood waters at the weekend in a deadly accident at a waterfall in central India. Local police officer P.S. Maravi said the holiday-makers were bathing below the 90m Patalpani waterfall in Madhya Pradesh state on Sunday when they were caught by a torrent of water. After hanging on to each other and clinging to support, they were swept away. Three were found dead, while two survived, the Press Trust of India news agency quoted officer Maravi as saying. Almost 200,000 people have been effected by flooding in the north-eastern state of Assam and monsoon rains have created havoc in several other states including in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtara and Uttar Pradesh.

In this age where quality education comes at a cost that not everyone can afford, there are Samaritans who are willing to offer financial assistance to those in need. Agaram foundation had been generating its own sources of funds so far and as per policy of Agaram, we had not been encouraging funds from individuals but Many socially responsible individuals and organizations have found agaram to be a reliable link and have been approaching us , expressing willingness to offer financial assistance for imparting education to the needy. It is hence that we decided to be the bridge between the deprived candidate and quality education which is made possible through a sponsorship from our Patron.
A small deed by someone can create a big difference in another’s life. Agaram with the help of Agram volunteers who are specially trained for this purpose work towards identifying and authenticating the deserving candidate and also the cost associated with sponsoring quality education for the candidate. Depending upon the quantum of sponsorship and preferences recorded with us, details of the Sponsorship and Educational Institution for the appropriate Candidate are then made available to the benefactor. Upon confirmation the details of the Sponsorship (Candidate, Benefactor, Educational Institution etc…) are then recorded on the database, post which the Benefactor can then directly provide their contribution to the respective educational institution. On behalf of the benefactor we also maintain the academic records of those students chosen for sponsorship.

Superstar Rajinikanth returns home, Chennai brightens up
After undergoing treatment for liver and lung ailments in Singapore for more than a month, superstar Rajinikanth is now in good condition, and has returned to Chennai.On the legend’s arrival, his millions of fans decorated Chennai with colourful posters and banners of his films, to give him a warm reception. Scores of admirers thronged at the Chennai airport and outside Rajini’s house with pooja thalis and garlands to welcome their idol and star. "It's crazy over here in Chennai. As soon as news spread that Rajniji is returning, all of the city got ready to give him a resounding reception," a source told a daily. Excited about Rajini’s return, fans told NTDV, “He is our God and we are so lucky to see him after two months. Our leader please come for a corruption free society." Rajini’s wife Latha and daughters Soundarya and Aishwarya escorted him from Singapore.

According to sources close to Rajinikanth, the veteran superstar missed his fans and kin a lot during his stay in Singapore. Though the doctors had advised him to rest for some more time in the foreign country, Rajini, who was not able to stay away from his homeland any longer, flew back to Chennai Wednesday night.
A source close to Rajini revealed, "He missed home. He missed his friends, family and fans. He insisted on returning now.” It’s heard that Rajinikanth will be residing in his farmhouse, which is close to to Chennai, for about a month.
Shelved ‘Rana’ likely to go on floors in September
Gossipmongers have suggested that though Rajini is back in Chennai now, doctors have asked him to take rest for one more month before starting off with his work. It’s learned that the superstar’s shelved project ‘Rana’ is likely to go on floors in September. Bollywood hottie Deepika Padukone, who has been signed in for ‘Rana’ opposite Rajini, has assured the veteran legend that she will be available for the shooting of the film, whenever required. "Deepika has assured the superstar that she will be there to shoot whenever he's ready to do so," said a source. The source further added, "She won't do any Tamil film until their film together is completed. This is her way of showing how much a film with India's greatest screen idol after Amitabh Bachchan matters to her.”
